Cookies

Cookies are a technology which can be used to provide you with tailored information from a Web site. A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it.

First Party Cookies

These are cookies that are set by our site. We only use of session-id cookies that expire at the end of each user session. These cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • Site administration
  • Completing the user's current activity
  • Research and development of the website

Implied consent

As our use of session-id cookies is only to support specific, limited activities such as the use of the Feedback Form or other application forms and they are absolutely necessary to provide these functions we assume the "Implied Consent" of the user to temporarily store these cookies on their browser to provide a seamless user experience.

These cookies aren’t used to identify you personally but they remember activities and preferences chosen by you and your browser. You can manage cookies by controlling which cookies are saved or by deleting them, if you wish. If the user however chooses not to allow the site to store these temporary cookies by adjusting the settings of their browser the majority of the website will function normally but the user will not be able to use the online forms and website search functions that require cookies to function properly.

Explicit consent

By using of a submission form the website user is identifying themselves to us therefore we require "Explicit Consent" for the use of the session-id cookies to enable these form to function. By using or attempting to use these forms the user is giving such consent. If you do not wish to provide such consent then do not use these forms and communicate with us using the Land Mail address at the top of this page.

Third Party Cookies

Some of the pages have elements provided by other organisations, like Google, Twitter, Facebook to name but a few and these elements can also set cookies which are called Third Party Cookies.
